September 20, 2022
The department has chosen two student leaders to serve as Art History Representatives to the WCAS Student Advisory Board. Zeki Hirsch, a junior from New York City, is majoring in Art History. He is primarily interested in ancient Near Eastern art, especially from culturally syncretic areas like Palmyra, Hatra, and the Parthian Empire. Vitoria Faria, a senior from Brazil, majors in Art History and Economics. She enjoys studying art collecting practices across periods and regions, but is currently focusing on collections owned by women of the Italian Renaissance.
