Professor Huey Copeland named the Andrew W. Mellon Professor for 2020-2022 at the National Gallery of Art
The Board of Trustees of the National Gallery of Art has appointed Professor Huey Copeland the Andrew W. Mellon Professor for 2020-2022 at the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. Founded in 1994, the Mellon Professorship is one of the most prestigious awards an art historian can receive. Over the two consecutive academic years, the Mellon Professor is free to pursue independent research.

Zirwat Chowdhury (PhD 2012) named Assistant Professor in Art History at UCLA
Zirwat Chowdhury (PhD 2012) will join the Department of Art History at UCLA this summer as Assistant Professor of 18th-/19th-Century European Art. Following the completion of her PhD, Zirwat held postdoctoral fellowships at UCLA and the Getty Research Institute, and she also taught as Visiting Assistant Professor and Visiting Faculty Member at Reed College and Bennington College respectively.
