Jingyi Dai is a doctoral student studying medieval art with a focus on architecture and urbanism. She is particularly interested in how architectural and urban environments shaped identities in twelfth- and thirteenth-century France. She also hopes to engage with the materiality of art and the circulation of artworks across geographical borders. Before coming to Northwestern, she received her BA in Art History and Physics from Mount Holyoke College and her MSt in History of Art and Visual Culture from the University of Oxford. Jingyi is a Mellon Cluster Fellow in Medieval Studies at Northwestern.
